What a conundrum!  

And on a related side issue, I heard an analysis this Sunday the Trump administration is woefully unprepared for Xi's visit, primarily because of so many unfilled positions in the State Department among the positions that prepare for such visits with research and supporting information.

Personally, I think the N. Korean "head" needs to be cut off.  I would propose to China that we cooperate to do that, even at the cost of allowing China to have the primary voice in determining what replaces it.
