I am not opposed to hiring someone that has ties to AU if they are the best and most qualified for the job. Pat Dye not only didn't have Auburn ties but his pedigree was playing/coaching AGAINST Auburn. I agree wholeheartedly. No AU ties might be preferable actually, for a change.
