While I still have nightmares at the thought of Barfield's Orange jersey's, as you say, probably more important to focus on what works for the players and recruits. Barfield's '78 team in general still speaks very favorably of the move to those jersey's for that GA game. And they certainly elevated their play that day. They were an eyelash from winning that game; a game they should have had 0 chance to be even close in. I believe our Orange jersey record was 2-1-1 during Barfield's time. Barfield was a very nice guy....just not much of a college head coach. Talked to him several times (not about football of course...he was just a great guy). His daughter was one of our little-sisters. Very sweet young woman (and smoking hot) that dated a buddy of mine; and she had to endure quite a lot of comments about here Dad while sitting in the student section.
