Pence is running for Pres......................

Has anyone even begun to think the fireworks we shall see between him and trump will be epic? Pence gives me hope trump will never make office again so he can try to steal the election. unless pence holds back i see a bunch of hopefully new stuff will come out making folks run screamng from trump. I mean they wanted to hang Pence. and tho i am not much of a pence fan i admire his dedication to this country because i think he saved our ass literally refusing to claim the election was stolen from trump. if he had joined up with trump we would be in bad shape right now i believe. i am sick and tired of all the crazies we have on both sides of the aisle. it is time to take back the country who are in it for themselves or their party. if we cannot do this we are toast down the road. sometimes you get what you except.

I don't think Pence will be able to make much of a run at public office the rest of his life.

He's hated by Trump and most Trump fans as he didn't violate the constitution and refuse to certify the election like they wanted to. He's seen as a RINO by many of them.

The other non-Trump Republicans still see him as too intertwined with Trump to be worth anything. While he didn't take the ultimate plunge off the cliff for Trump, Pence did defend and serve his master for most of 4 years against the best interest of the US and Americans in general. Pence is back to praising Trump and everything he stood for.

There really isn't a "voter base" out there that would want Pence IMO. He should just stick to making a lot of money from speaking engagements.

I think Pence would be a good choice for president. He is a good man and would be a good president. Definitely different personality than Trump. I think Trump could possibly win the nomination and maybe even the general election if he runs. The base does exist and I believe will get behind the nominee strongly to prevent further destruction of this country at the hands of liberals who hate the country as founded. Say all you want that socialists aren’t taking over the democrat party but it is clearly happening with the ultimate goal of remaking our system into a socialist country.

Don't really know about his being "dedicated to our country".

It could be that he just received some excellent legal advice and was smart enough to take it.

Pence is just not the sort of lying huckster/showman/con-man Trump is.  The MAGA's won't like him.....  ;)

i am not saying who or who  is not full blown crazy. what i am saying is there will be some epic exchanges between trump and pence. i am sure pence knows more than what he has said anyway. and we know trump is going to run his mouth so i doubt pence will remain silent for long.

Maybe Pence gets in, and damages trump enough to allow someone sane to actually get the nomination?

Pence has as much chance as Jeb Bush. He can waste some money running but he has zero chance of garnering real support from the Republican base. However, I don't hold his actions on certifying the election against him. I find the idea preposterous that the VP could somehow invalidate an election. That's not a precedent I want to see, particularly in the hands of democrats.  Regardless, Republicans aren't in the mood for go along to get along candidates.  The nominee will be Trump or DeSantis.   Everyone else is wasting their time and money. The dynamic between Desantis and Trump will be interesting.

Pence certified the election; why would you hold that against him?

Should Republicans be in the mood for a go along to get along candidate?  What has that gotten the nation in the last 50 years?

I agree it will come down to Trump or DeSantis as they are NOT a get along to get along type of candidates.  Trump drove the Democrats so far left that when Biden got in he jumped the shark with the boarder, the Trans gender issue (Parental rights) and equity (CRT) among others.  Those have been boiling in the back ground, but the Virginia Governors race brought a lot of this out in the open.

It will be an interesting 2024.

Presumably, that's the part he would hold against him.

Considering most MAGAs believe Trump actually won, most would.  Pretty sad.

So you have labeled @Cardin Drakea MAGA?  I have often wondered how you determine such things on scanty evidence.

By applying simple logic to the evidence presented.  He said:  "I don't hold his actions on certifying the election against him."

So logically, his default position would be faulting Pence for certifying the election (holding it against him), which presumes Trump actually won.

Now I don't know if he just misspoke or he didn't mean to imply what it does.  If so, I'm sure he will correct me.  (This will also clear up your own confusion as evidenced by your question, so perhaps I should have waited until he responded to you.)

As for calling him a MAGA, I frequently use the term as shorthand for someone who supports Trump, or otherwise believes Trump actually won the election, (take your pick).

I'm definitely conservative. I'm just willing to criticize my side, including Trump.  There's lots I like about Trump's policies, but he's not a fiscal conservative, which is my hottest hot button.  And his compulsive need to troll the other side lost him lots of votes, particularly among women.

Well, how would you interpret it? :dunno:

It suggests the default position would be faulting Pence for certifying the election ("holding it against him"), which presumes that Trump won, by definition.

Now I don't know for sure if he just misspoke in his implication.  If so, I'm sure he will correct me.

Not a MAGA, just another conservative with enough intelligence to think for himself.

Good on him.
