To all here who work in this industry -- thank-you for what you do.   My 85 year old mother has been suffering for 6 months with shoulder pain.   It had really impacted her quality of life an ability to sleep at night.  I took her to see Dr. Dugas (At Andrew's Sports Medicine who is awesome) thinking it was her rotator cuffs.   After an exam and MRI's Dr. D told her that her RCs certainly showed wear and tear, but he really believed her problem was emanating from her cervical spine (My mom thought he had lost his mind).   He hooked us up with a spine specialist at ASM -- Dr. Kim.  Dr. Kim operated on my mom yesterday and fused two vertebras.  He said her spinal cord infringement was greater that what he saw on her scans.  She was discharged to go home about 1 hour ago.   She said she can't remember feeling this good-- just one day post op -- and is already able to lift both arms above her head pain free.

We decided to use Grandview mainly because it is close to my parents' home.   Everyone there was awesome, friendly and helpful.   Mom's nurse, Mallory, was so caring.   I captured a photo of Mallory and mom that we we will have forever to remember her by.  Even the cafe workers all seemed genuinely happy to be at work. Over  the two days, we probably came in contact with 15 hospital employees.   Every one of them had the same great demeanor.   I would highly recommend Grandview for surgery.    And, thanks to all of you who do these same things everyday and make people feel better!!!!

I am still how shocked at the care i received from docs and the hospital. It was eye opening. i had a black nurse that came in dancing with joy because they were letting me go home that day. i will never forget that.
