The needs of…

Recommended Posts

A post basketball (😡) whimsical debate I see played out indirectly on almost every  thread.  Whether it’s transgender, the homeless, gun rights,  minorities, ect. I’ll let Spock v Kirk play it out.  Whose needs/protection should get priority? It drives much of the political divide.

You are 100% on point. The below is a good read by George Will.

I love Will. Classic thoughtful conservative. Back when they existed.

I'm somewhat ambivalent about Will, but this was a brilliant piece - maybe because it was a review?  ;D

Homer I will convert you to classic conservatism eventually.  But admittedly you’re a very very long term project.

Actually, one could make the case that I'm already a "classic conservative".

Especially in today's climate. ;D

Best baseball book ever. A great look into how the game is viewed by real “craftsmen”.

Men at Work: The Craft of Baseball – by George F. Will

I own that book. You’re right! Imo he was the heart of conservatism  and when he withdrew from the gop - the party was officially lost.

Is it better than the 'I Never Had It Made' by Jackie Robinson?

Two different type of books. One is an autobiography. Will’s book is more inside the game info. Amazing to see how a real “craftsman” in a given profession views things and situations vs the average fan or follower.
