Huge win Saturday.

Steps forward this weekend: Connor McBride pitched very well and looked like a Friday night guy. Allsup is going deeper on less pitches. Cannon closed strong in game 3. Lost 2 one run games to the nations top team. Weiss and Maners are great gets from the portal. 

Steps backward: still way too many hitters striking out and leaving runners in scoring position. Several bad base-running decisions by Gross. Pitchers getting ahead then giving up walks. Some bad plate approaches: I.e. popping up on first pitch with runners in scoring position 

Lots to build on for this team. As usual, Butch seems to have developed good team chemistry and they compete hard.
