Brandon Cox's fourth-quarter 62-yard pass to Devin Aromashodu against Georgia has earned Auburn the "Pontiac Game Changing Performance" Award, it was announced Thursday.

Cox found Aromashodu on 4th-and-10 on the Tigers' final drive in their 31-30 victory over the Bulldogs last Saturday in Athens. The play put Auburn on Georgia's 3-yard-line, setting up John Vaughn's game-winning, 20-yard field goal with six seconds remaining.

Cox finished the game 16-of-28 for 279 yards. For Aromashodu, the play capped off a performance that consisted of four receptions for a career-high 135 yards. He had three receptions for 124 yards in the fourth quarter alone.

Auburn will now receive a $5,000 contribution from Pontiac toward the school's general scholarship fund. The Tigers are also now eligible for the "Pontiac Game Changing Performance of the Year" Award and can earn an additional $100,000 contribution.

Not only Courtney's recovery was interesting.

If you study the tape, Devin reached and grabbed at the ball after it was punched. It appears to slow the ball a bit, otherwise it might have gone on through the endzone for a touchback and Georgia's ball.

Auburn wins Pontiac Game Changing Performance

I detect a shrill, whiney crescendo developing in the Tuscaloosa area and spreading over the state of Alabama. It is expected to increase in volume and intensity thru the weekend. Then remain stationary over the Southeastern United States for the next 370 days.
