"Brad is kind of like throwing a curveball," coach Tommy Tuberville said. "You throw fastball, fastball, fastball, then you throw in a curve ball."

Offensive coordinator Al Borges said Lester employs "more stop-and-go, sideways" running than Irons.

Another thing Borges has noticed is Lester's ability to get into the end zone. He scored five touchdowns and averaged 6.5 yards on 52 carries last season.

"The best thing about it is that we put Brad in there and we're not losing anything," running backs coach Eddie Gran said. "He's physical and he has a burst about him that you can't coach."
