USA Today/AP Polls

Well we at least know there are two teams ahead of us that will lose a game before the end of the year.

WV/Louisville game this week and the Ohio St./Michigan game on Nov. 18. The winner of the WV/Louisville game has a good chance of winning out, but both of them still have Rutgers and Pittsburgh left on their schedule, so there is a chance the winner of their game may get loss down the road.

Ohio State and Michigan will both probably be undefeated win they play each other, so the winner of that game will be playing in the BCS CG.

Texas basically only has Texas A&M left, but that is a home game for them. Oklahoma St. May be able to upset them, but doubtful. They may get beat in the Big 12 championship game. However I would bet Texas will be the team playing the winner of the Ohio St./Michigan game for the BCS CG.

It really makes me feel good to look at the polls and see 5 :sec: teams in the top 15. WOW, guess they have no choice but to acknowledge the :sec: this year as much as they don't want to.

moving up 1 spot in both polls really helps us, because if you think about it we were #4 with both polls listing us at #7. So moving up 1 spot may really knock us back to 4th or 3rd possibly. But we'll just have to wait and see.

Barring an upset or something unexpected, looks like the OSU-Michigan winner will play the Louisville-WV winner for the MNC. I don't see them putting one loss texas in it and create another uproar by an undefeated team.

Louisville and WV both having to play Rutgers still intrigues me. :big:

I think WV and Louisville's stregth of schedule hurts them in the computer rankings, whereas Texas's will be better, even with one loss, so Texas could jump both of them in the BCS standings, but like you said, it would create a big stink if a one loss team jumped an undefeated team. But I hope it does happen because it would just show even more proof that either a playoff or "plus one" system is needed.

Like kickerman said, both of them having to play Rutgers is going to be interesting. They both also have to play Pittsburgh also. They may not be ranked, but I still think that can be an upset game for either team.

Funny how Louisville is much lower then WV, but if you look at their schedules, please tell me how the computers are figuring WV's schedule is that much tougher then Louisville's. Again, another flaw in the system.

The talking heads are saying that IF OSU and Michigan meet undefeated, they are so far ahead points wise, the loser would probably still remain at #2. Especially if all teams below have 1 loss by then.

Don't know if that would happen, but it wouldn't suprise me.

Wouldn't suprise me at all. If the game is a nail-biter, and one team wins by say 1 or 3 pts..(especially if it's Michigan)..It'll probably happen. It's not like they have a championship game or anything.

Seeing W. Va. that high in ANY poll w/ this year's record is like fingernails on a chalkboard. Who's on crack! Louisville is almost as bad, except their win vs. the Candycanes is like us beating South Carolina...boarderline quality

This is like when Fresno State, N. Illinois or Marshall would sneak into the top 10 before getting blasted by a real team. Can you imagine what Ohio St. would do to W. Va or Louisville in a national championship game? Those teams probably have 4 bluechippers between them and W. Va is the new Texas A&M as far as being a paper tiger. I hope Pitt wakes up the echos and throttles them both.

Why is Arkansas only @ #12? Why is Cal getting this much respect?

I have been wondering this also. They have all common opponents except WVU has E. Wash., Maryland, E. Carolina, and Miss St. L'ville has UK, UM, K State, and MTSU. Miss. St and UK are a wash, although UK would beat Miss st., UM and Maryland are pretty comparable this year, MTSU and E. Carolina are a wash. K St gets nod over E. Wash obviously. All in all their SOS should be about even. Right?

Every computer has vast different SOS ratings. Funny how one, like Sagarin, has about 4 or 5 Pac 10 teams in his top 10 in SOS?? When there are only 3 of them in the top 25 of the human polls. But yet, the SEC which has 4 in the top 25, only 4 now b/c UGA lost again, but 7 teams with 6 wins or more already. And he ranks SOS on those 15 or later I believe. AU at 26, Ole Miss 18, LSU like 40 something?? I mean LSU played one of those Pac 10 teams he thinks are so great, as did AU and UT. Unbelievable!!!!
