Christopher Walsh's column from today's Turdscaloosa News.

Allow me to summarize:

The College Hall of Fame is mean and predjudiced against the tradition and history of Alabama football. It should change the rules so more Bama players can get in. Why isn't Jay Barker in there? Waaah, waaaah, waaaah. Waaah, waaah, waaaah.

I say we post-humously chnage the rules for awarding national championships and take away some of Alabama's while we are at it.

Man, what a Homer

what a cry baby.. chances are they will start their own version of the college football hall of fame with their own rules:

1. anybody that dare challenge the superiority of uat will be automatically ineligible.

2. anybody that was on a team that beat uat is ineligible

3. any players ever from Auburn, Tennessee, and Notre Dame are automatically ineligible.

4. All uat players/coaches regardless of the contribution (or in most cases LACK of contribution) will get an automatic pass into the hall after they have been gone from uat for 5 years.

they've been doing it with MNC's for years, why not this too??

All I got from the article was more excuses and conspiracy theory, typical Bama homer. Namath should be in the hall but Jay Barker? What did he do beside hand it off and watch a great defense play? Why wasn't Brodie or Watts not on his short list?

Classic uat "have your cake and eat it too" mentality.

For years we've been told the only reason they haven't had any Heisman winners is because they don't emphasize the individual, just the team, or as Walsh himself says:

..many key Tide players didn’t make those first-team lists. Most only started for a season or two, and Alabama has a strong tradition of not running up scores or padding individual statistics. It’s why, in part, Alabama has never won a Heisman Trophy.
That's just fine if that's what you believe. But you can't argue that and also demand personal honors unless you live in some sort of Orwellian doublespeak world.

[Oh wait, what am I thinking. This is Bama. They DO live in some Orwellian doublespeak world...never mind. ]

:o Dont even get me started on the total delusion of that argument...

boy, they are really running out of things to write about.

Could it be that, most of these players really were just not that good?

Of course... We know it, the rest of the country knows it, just try to convince the bammers of it. This is the spin to rationalize the lack of big numbers being put up by some of their skill personnel. Who is uat's all time leading rusher?? where would his numbers rank among Auburn's top performers? StatTiger?? lol
