Long read but very informative. I'm sure some of the NO natives will try to dispute this. But numbers is numbers!

A few observations on this article:

1. NO has a skyrocketing problem with violent Hispanic gangs (MS-13 and Sur-13) that isn't mentioned,

2. Incompetence is celebrated in city government and corruption overlooked as the norm,

3. The city's drug addicts are spread across the Southeast, so declining drug prices there reflect low demand, not high supply,

4. If the Feds take over any aspect of day to day law enforcement watch out. It'll be a real mess.

5. NO citizens don't generally expect any meaningful change, so we shouldn't either. After all, they reelected General Nagin, didn't they?
