I am certain, after the great concern he has shown for these young men and their futures, bg will be greatly relieved.

The entire incident was fabricated by Lester Miles as a ploy to get into Nick Saban's mind. As Paul ******** will tell you, Nick decided not run the "belly give", "belly option", and "belly dive" on the scout team for the defensive team this week; since Perrilloux wouldn't be playing this week.

Lester is already in Nicky's head.

I don't believe RP is as bad as he's made out to be. Yes trouble has seemed to surround him but he hasn't been arrested for anything.

The counterfeit money thing........... he was questioned about a counterfeit money ring that was opperating from his hometown.

The fake ID thing..... he tried to use his brothers ID to get into a casino (who hasn't done something like this when underage??) Wasn't as if he made a fake ID which would have been a much more serious problem.

And now this fight...... Seems as if he in fact wasn't at fault. He was the one who urged his attorney to get the security video to prove his innocence and it ended up in fact helping him.

Now don't get me wrong.... not saying he's an angel. Trouble seems to follow him and he better start being smarter about where he goes and what he does. Hopefully this will be a the final wake-up call!!!!

Even if his name is "Lester," we ought to call him, "Leslie." It's even more fun than Lester.

Miles: Perrilloux won't play vs. Tide

Posted by Paul Gattis -- The Huntsville Times October 31, 2007 7:59 PM

TUSCALOOSA -- LSU backup quarterback Ryan Perrilloux, who plays a significant role coming off the bench as a dual-threat quarterback, won't play Saturday against Alabama.

LSU coach Les Miles made the announcement to reporters in Louisiana following Wednesday's practice.

Perrilloux was present during a weekend brawl at a Baton Rouge, La., nightclub. Baton Rouge police said Wednesday he would not be charged in the altercation.

Miles also said backup linebacker Derrick Odom and walk-on Jeremy Benton had been dismissed from the team. Odom was charged with a misdemeanor stemming from the incident and has had brushes with the police in the past. Benton was also present at the incident.

LSU plays Alabama on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Hmmm...hold a player responsible for his behavior even if it doesn't rise to the level of criminal charges (...as opposed to having a player get arrested and maliciously damage the window of the patrol car, but letting him play anyway.) What a concept!

LSU had better fire Miles while they have a chance. <_<

I'm actually proud of ole Les. I really thought he'd let him play.

scott, rp may not be a criminal. that doesn't make him a good guy. i'll just put it this way: if you had a girl and she told you "dad i'm going on a date tonight."

you ask her "yeah who's the guy do i know him?"

"yeah... well kinda. he plays football" (has your heart dropped already?)

"really? who is it?"

"ryan perrilloux"

what do you do? board the doors? withdraw her from school? both?

i'm joking, but my point is he's been a loud-mouth a-hole since high school ("i'm gonna beat out vince young"... wait. "make that jamarcus russell" or the "2000/1000" predictions for his freshman year). he's never been a "good guy." he might not be a criminal, but that term "good guy" gets tossed around too liberally in my opinion. rp is a guy that needs to learn not to be around trouble. he needs to learn to keep his mouth shut. then he might develop into a good guy. there's still plenty of time.

I am pleasantly surprised that Miles did that. On the other hand, why couldn't he have let him play THIS game and made him run stadiums or something.
