just as an update......Scout now has Alabama's class ranked #1 in the country and Rivals has us at #3. i guess i was right, Scout IS in on the conspiracy also, DKW.

Avg Stars down 3.29 to 3.19 Even though we signed one more 5 star since 1-22-08. We have "lost" 2-4 Stars, that appear to now be 3 stars. We have also "lost" 19 total points even though we have added a 5 Star.

The trend stayed the same, although nowhere near as bad as in the past.

you guys had a guy that added 1 more star, not a brand new 5 star comittment. i don't think somebody adding 1 star would make up the difference of 2 guys decomitting.

Haven't you been keeping up? Our guys are NEVER upgraded, only downgraded. You know, Cadillac Williams went from a 6 star to NR when he signed with us.

now add in that Fortson (4* WR) is now gone. but hey, i guess the total points shouldn't drop for somebody that decommitts. keep the spin machine spinning, DKW....

DKW, how bad did AU get "Rivaled" this year? how many kids ratings were dropped when they faxed in their LOI? how many of UA's kids rose? make sure you take into account that you were previously incorrect about signing a new 5-star. you guys did not sign a new 5-star, you had a 4-star that actually gained a star.

I was busy with some other stuff. This was a very odd year. The late losses had nothing to do with Rivals/Schurburtt. Since he was bought out, there has been a definite change at Rivals. A change for the better.

PS, my evaluation was based solely on the National Team Rankings/Points/Stars etc and werent meant to be a detailed recap. I do not follow recruiting that closely. I learned a long time ago that following recruiting closely will make you question yours and others sanity. Some 'cant miss' recruits bomb and 'diamonds in the rough' often turn in better performances than were ever thought.
