we also had two pretty nice blurbs in today's usa today. auburn was labled as one of their "moving up" teams and also the #1 team outside the top ten "your team doesn't want to face."

Nice to see someone's paying attention. (Hello, Joe Lunardi!?!?!?!?) Saturday's defensive performance was as impressive as I've seen in a long time - relentless. It was like Auburn had six or seven defenders out there, each with three of four arms. There had to have been 20+ deflections - sometimes 3 or 4 in the same sequence. LSU couldn't get into any rhythm at all on offense - Auburn simply took away their will to win. If the defense plays at that level this weekend, we'll be VERY tough to beat.

This week is when Lebo can REALLY impress me. The team played with so much confidence and emotion last week. Can they keep it up, even with almost a week off, enough to win three straight days, something none of them have ever had to do? And starting, presumably, with :uf: , which'd be playing a de facto home game to make the NCAA tournament? Can Lebo get the team to keep ratcheting up its focus and intensity this week? That's the chalenge. They'll need to, b/c they won't be sneak up on anyone anymore.

Any press is good but we know how well it worked out for us when the Sporting News picked us #1.

:nanner:

Did you said they picked us #1fb in 2004?
