Byrnes' Lattimore narrows college list to five

Running back removes UNC, Bentley says

Last week, Byrnes’ Marcus Lattimore indicated North Carolina might be coming off his list of possible college destinations.

According to one of his coaches, Lattimore has dropped the Tar Heels.

Rebels assistant coach Bobby Bentley said Tuesday that Lattimore has ruled out UNC, leaving the star running back with a final five of USC, Auburn, Penn State, Oregon and Georgia.

“He just wanted to focus in on his top five,” Bentley said.

Auburn’s running backs coach will visit Lattimore on Tuesday, and Penn State will also be in this week, Bentley said.

Lattimore has taken official visits to Auburn and Penn State.

He is scheduled to visit Oregon on Jan. 15 and Georgia on Jan. 29.

I think Auburn ends up getting Lattimore. I'm not alone in my thinking as indicated on a pay site I can't reveal. If that happens, I see Seastrunk at USC. If we wind up with both Lattimore and Dyer, I'll have a very merry Christmas.
