Auburn is after Jamar Travis, a Southern Miss commit, hard. Coach Willis made a stop in Brewton, AL to talk to Travis yesterday. Willis got Travis to make a verbal commitment to make an official visit to Auburn Jan 23-25. That is great news for Auburn because Travis thought that Auburn really didn't have any more interests in him since Tuberville resigned.

I dont think we could have done better than the guys we've hired. staff is working harder than ever at recruiting, and the thing is they dont back off or give up!

This guy is underrated. I saw him personally when W.S. Neal played Andalusia this year. He was getting double teamed and triple teamed all game and was still making tackles. Also, one of rbs broke a 40 yard run and guess who CAUGHT him. That's right Mr. travis took a great angle and hussles down a runningback. He would be a big catch.

Yeah he would be a HUGE pick-up if we could get him on board....he is waaaaay underrated....hopefully we will hear something from him soon.

It sounded to me like he was thrilled that we were back on board recruiting him.  i think we have a pretty good chance.

Yeah i would say that as long as he visits i would give Auburn about an 80% chance of landing him
