Go find someone who really wants to be the DC here. I agree 100%, If he wants to be an Auburn Tiger would love to have him, but we should not be someone's last option. If what Tate says is true, that we're a fall back plan... forget him. Now, even if they hire him it's not going to be nearly as satisfying. The best defensive units in the country are almost always down south, in and around the SEC. We were given a perfect opportunity here to go big or go home, and it's looking to be the latter. We've got one of the greatest offensive minds known to man, and WM doesn't want to work here because it's a hurry up offense? I thought he was the man? mom2kid 216 Posted December 13, 2014 Share Posted December 13, 2014 So we've been negotiating for a week, terms are finalized and formal contract is signed by AU and rushed to Muschamp camp today for signature. Meanwhile, early in the week he interviewed for UH job and when it appeared he was not a top candidate he settled for AU. Now Pitt has opened up and he isn't signing quite yet. You know Pearl could have had plenty of offers but he jumped on our offer immediately. If WM doesn't want to be DC at a top program in the sec which has played in title game twice in the past four yrs, let's move on. We need someone who wants to be here.
