AU has a 6-2 lead in the 5th. Camp mowed them down for several innings but soon as AU put a few runs across, he started having trouble finding the plate. Palacios with a nice HR and AU scored 4 thanks to some pitching problems by Lange and a nice double by Logan.

Would be great for AU to take the series opener but a long way to go yet.

Klobosits in to pitch the 6th.

Camp threw a lot of pitches the last 2 innings....and was obviously done after struggling through the 5th.

Well dang....AU just not getting this game closed out....LSU scores 3 and still only one out...fortunately we still have a 3 run lead but the pitcher needs to get the job done....NOW....

Well...another AU pitching change...2 outs and a one ball count on the batter. Butch had seen enough and went to the mound to get Mize.

AU hanging on ....Yarbrough coming in to get the final out.

Yarborough finishes walking the batter and brings the tieing run to the plate. .....Boy, this game has gotten unnecessarily stressful.

The secret seem to be....give the bull pen a 5 run lead going into the last 3 innings and then hang of for dear life.

I just loved it when Butch pulled the pitcher with a one ball count on a batter. A good move and maybe sent a bit of a message.

Son of a gun....had forgotten that today was a double header and just noted that AU lost the second game 8-6. Scored 5 runs in the 9th and game ended with two runners on base.

Hitters doing well...pitchers needing an awful lot of support these days.
