SRBautigerfan 1,040 Posted August 9, 2021 Share Posted August 9, 2021 Craig Ogletree has died Monday, August 9. 2021 Craig Ogletree, LC football great, pastor and Georgia Power executive, died early Monday after a lengthy illness. He was 53. Ogletree was a standout for the Trojans, starred at Auburn and played for the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL. He is thought to be the only Lamar countian to make an NFL roster. He was one of Dye's favorites, and he was asked by Dye to do his eulogy last year too. I remember reading Ogletree said he and Dye were just 2 country boys from GA. Always remember his interview in the locker room after the ‘89 bama game. He was talking about being able to sit down and tell his grandkids that he never lost to bama.
