So you're saying that as soon as the ball goes over the fence, all baserunners and the hitter should just trot back to the dugout without rounding the bases and touching home plate. So if a ball carrier in football doesn't have anyone close to him within 20 yards, he doesn't have to cross the goal line? In baseball and softball you score after you touch all 3 bases and home plate. Period. D1 players should be concentrating enough to know that.

I know I don't make my living coaching softball, but I cannot understand CMD's reasoning. You have your entire outfield defense set up for a speedy batter to hit in the opposite direction and you call a changeup to speed up her bat so she can pull the ball. SMH.

Agree. KK gives up the slam and THEN he pulls her. SMH. In he first inning he has Garcia, who is one of our hottest hitters sacrifice. She executed it well, and I love small ball, but I don't see taking the bat out of her hand. Maybe now we have enough players who can overcome his game decisions.

First pitch has been moved to 11 a.m. CT. The doubleheader is slated to air on the SEC Network+. Auburn's planned alumni recognition as well as its visor giveaway will also be moved to Sunday.

We were a #1 Seed in the NCAA Tournament that year and me being JABA, I worried we would be the first #1 to fall to a bottom seed. 🙄

I agree. Other than a couple of throws that were low, he threw some very nice passes. One was a deep out that was on the money. A couple of his passes were dropped, but they were accurate as well. With him coming in early and going through spring ball and barring a "jaw dropper" coming in the portal, it would not surprise me if he was the starter coming out of fall camp.

If we get some decent OLinemen from the portal, I'm with you. On offense, I think we're close. On defense, we are going to be tough.
