  1. Thorne showed better pocket awareness today than I have seen at AU in a decade. Kept his eyes down field...felt pressure and avoided a sack,,,and had some excellently placed balls. He missed a couple throws but overall was very accurate. (some of the misses were miscommunications or were WRs were interfered. He also showed that he can be effective enough with his legs. Doesn't have to have Robby speed...just enough to make defenses respect him in the R/O game.
  2. I checked Monday and saw nothing......So happy you started this. My favorite part of the board every season !!!!
  3. Came here to ask the same thing @Zeek
  4. Trying to not repeat here..... Offense- Damari Alston. I am looking forward to seeing if he is what I think he can be. If so....opposing Defenses are going to have a hard time stopping the one two punch of Hunter and Alston. Defense- Pritchett. James was by far our best DB last year. Pritchett played well at times and then at times looked like he regressed. If he can play to the potential I think he has then we will have 2 lock down corners that we can leave on an island and RR can go crazy with the blitz packages and pressures. ST- Whoever the liong snapper is. Need those balls being accurate! Bonus- P. Monty- curious as to how he is going to call the offense.
  5. Champ Anthony I believe was a Juco CB we signed. He was pretty highly rated in the Juco class...like top 5 CB I think FWIW Had a really good camp according to many. I kind of though Nixon and Keys would play different positions....Keys at MLB and Nixon at WLB. McCleod being more of a pass rush specialist and Sings having the camp he had I could see where Sings comes in on early downs and McCleod on passing downs. I wouldn't say senority won out. I think with Faulk and MNK that 2 things are at play....1, Faulk is still very green being a True Freshman. Yes physically he is definitely SEC Ready, but MNK has several years of P5 experience and that goes a long way. 2, I think Faulk will be the starter by week 4. I have said that since spring. As for Riley and Assante....I think Riley offers more versatility, but I honestly think the LBs will be rotated a good bit between the 4 guys. ICBW
  6. Glad to see my man Cam Riley foiught it out and earned a starting nod this week! I think Cam going to show out in RR's Defense. I feel like I got a steal!
  7. The fact we have an AU QB named Jackson Barkley and it has gone unnoticed by me until this thread is saddening lol.
  8. here we go....just copied first article I found in A Goog search. The legend and legacy of the Nkemdiche brothers (saturdaydownsouth.com)
  9. I thought that was the brothers name I could be wrong. I remember HCHF coaching at Ole Piss and there was big dog RKn and then he had a brother who was either a LB or in the secondary that was decent as well. Maybe he got released or hurt IIRC...but they played together at least 1 season I think.
  10. Curious why you aren't high on DA? Like what do you think he lacks in his game? Disclaimer, I know we have only seen him carry it at AU a few times in actual games last year....so maybe that is the answer to my question...but still curious to here your take? I think he runs with a great pad level and will fall fwd majority of the time turning nothings into somethings. I think he has good burst and acceleration. Seems to have really good vision from what little we have seen at AU and his HS film. He can catch out of the backfield. I don't think he has elite top end speed, but that isn't needed to be an elite back. I think he is a complete back. What say you?
  11. Well if you rounded it off. I'm not going back but I think I had Quez averaging right at 5.5 using the high end of the touch range, DA at 4.9 and Battie at 4.7. I don't think that is unreasonable....especially if this OL performs the way I am hoping.
  12. I agree Hunter will be the primary, but I don't think it's as big a difference in him and Alston as maybe you do. I'm thinking Quez gets around 1000 on around 15-17 carries a game. I think Alston hits around 800yds on probably 11-13 carries a game, and Battie sits around 400 with 5-7 carries a game. It wouldn't shock me to see games where DA has more carries than Quez though. I think it's going to be a beautiful thing to have multiple backs we can go with and feed the proverbial hot hand! edit- hit enter before I addressed the WR. I agree Hooks and FW are probably our top 2, but I could definitely see Fair sneak his way into that group if he continues to progress. I think with Var competing w him at the slot may hinder his chances though. We will see!
  13. This was a great post. That 2 year stretch could be argued to have the most impact for change on a person in their entire life IMO.
  14. OLE HCBHF has coached a couple other brothers on the same D unit before who turned out pretty good. WAR DAMN FAULKS
  15. Got ya....just the way I read the other post made me feel like it was actually declared in the article. Thanks. He is going to be our next Marlon D I do believe. 3-4 year starter.
  16. I have predicted him to be a starter by week 4 since spring, but has he officially been named a starter? Did I miss that in the article above?
  17. These are pretty good...... Im sorry, but if everytime JD. Rhym makes a play Andy or TV announcers don't say something like " Now that's a Rhym Job right there" ..........................is life even really woirth living at that point?
  18. Forgive me.....who the hell is Jake Kruse?
  19. I found this interestying...thought you all might as well. Oregon’s Bo Nix gets massive New York City billboard; Joey Harrington approves - al.com
  20. That guy is a cuck. I personally think he throws these late picks in for Ole Miss strictly to give them the " Freeze bought him at the last minute" excuse which also IMO doesnt help now that it is legal lol. Kid going to be a tiger in the end
  21. I honeslty don't think that will be the case. I think Hooks starts. I think if Mardner starts at all he will be phased out slowly by others. Just having options period will be nice. I expect Hooks, R. FW and Jay Fair to be the first 3 guys split out game 1. I know RFW is a technically a TE but u get it
