JABA when we go looking for another coach we will continue to hire coaches from high school ranks or coaches from the lesser conferences. Don't believe me just look at our last 3 hires. Nothing is going to change by hiring a 4th coach except that we might have 3 former coaches on the unemployed payroll.

For about 5 seconds the entire secondary did their job. The rule of thumb is a secondary can maximinally cover receivers for about 3 seconds that is why you need a pass rush. How long do you expect DJ to cover receivers 10 seconds, 10 minutes. How long?

Those games losses were a result of turnovers. While it is a loss, the fix is very correctable. However, the loss yesterday is big problem. This loss was due to poor coaching which is tougher to overcome.

you are right a lot of inferior coaches has coached in the SEC and then our brilliant people in the the athletic dept seem to hire them for a second run.

It is run consistently (consistently bad). We consistently chase after high school coaches and coaches from lower conferences. We consistently let donors interfere. I would love it if for once we did manage the athletic department inconsistently.

Maybe the 25 point spread came from the fact that they lost to UMass and Tulane.

It comes down to player strength and conditioning and that is on the coaches.

They may be a more attractive job at this time but with our tradition that has not been the case most of the time. We losing our position is directly within our control.

Really why don't you go look at the list of canadiates that A&M is looking at as compared to our last 2 hires.

How do you know. We don't try because people in charge are just to lazy to get off their arse and go in search of a legimate coach. They go after these high school coaches because it is easy.

You are correct. For us to compete against the Bamas and Georgia's we need better players. But that was not correct for today. What we needed today was better coaches.

While it appeared that Freeze did theplay calling when Ashford was in. But if taking over play calling, Freeze doesn't need to wait until next year he needs to implement that now. Although that would probably make him look like Gus.

But the defense is going through the same growing pains but has done a better job of meshing together so while not great they are serviceable but the offense is not bad they are pathetic so they question is why is the D meshing together so much better than the O.

It is not all on the QBs or players, but the coaches have got to give them a scheme to help them be successful. For instance, I am seeing a lot of fade routes, and over the back shoulder throws, with minimal slant and clearing routes. If the offensive coaches are reviewing film of the next opponent you sure can't tell it by the game plan. Now I realize we were not talented enough to win that game last Saturday but we are talented enough to play better than we did Saturday. Heck, we were so poor we made their defense look as if we're the best in the nation.

Good points, my feelings exactly. In addition, the timeouts you are talking about can somewhat be used in reverse. For instance, in our last drive before the half we had 2 timeouts left but we continued to hurry the play and did not use the 2 TOs we had and we took them to the locker room.

DEION, is currently sitting at 68 in the country with 3 4 stars and 6 3 stars and scanning ON3 top recruits the great majority are already committed so if he is going to prove his prowess as a recruiter he had better start now in flipping a large volume of the top recruits.

Like your post. First of all we are down on talent so I did not expect to win that game but I did expect to be more competitive than what we have been showing. I did not see any rub routes, clearing routes or blitz control routes when we ate lucky enough to recognize a blitz. About sick of fades and over the back shoulder routes. Defensively we telegraph blitzes, when we ran man coverages we did not have a spy on Daniel's.

No one knows for certain if blitzing or any other changes would have saved that game but they were converting 3 an 10s 3rd and 11 and 12 plays. There needed to be some changes to the scheme. I can understand if he was hesitant to blitz but at least show some blitzes to the guy then we could have backed out but this was this QBs 5th start there is no excuse for not making this guy have to at least read defenses and coverages.

We won't turn any corners until people in the AD stop running this program like a high school program and run it like an SEC program.

If A&M had been a good team the score would have been similar to Oregon/Col yesterday. But that A&M team had several miscommunications yesterday. Examples QB/WR weren't on the same page, on the play where Fair was wide open for a touchdown the CB went to take the inside guy who was already covered by a safety. Unfortunately Fair could have standing on top of a Redwood and still could not have got to the ball. A&M linebacker play were spotty did not control the misdirection (didnt) see any misdirection by Auburn after 1St Quarter. OL was not good. The play selection noted was not the only problem, Auburn should have used Fairweather for clearing routes and try to get WRs and RBs matched up with linebackers. This game A&M was just more effective of taking advantage of our mistakes than we were of there's.
