I never said he couldn't build a staff I said there is nothing in Deion background that he will build that kind of staff at Auburn. You people want Deion so bad that you envision that he will build a staff with out any indication he will. That is really risking auburn's future. It was just like when Gus was hired you people envisioned his high powered offenses at Auburn based on nothing except he did that at lesser institutions such as Arkansas state. Furthermore, why have the weak link at HC. If he could assemble such a high powered staff why wouldn't auburn go out hire a coach like the ones Deion would hire cutting the weak link. Deion is not well respected he is liked. RESPECT IS earned over years. Eric Bienemy and other such coaches has earned respect after long years of service but deion has not. He was respected as a player but has not earned respect as a coach.

First of all Gus did try it both ways CEO and delegating. Gus delegated the play calling to lashlee half way through the 2015 season, delegated the play calling to Lindsey, then he and Dillingham tried tag teaming the play calling in 2019 and the designated the playcalling to Morris in 2020. That makes my point it didn't work for Gus because of all the high school coaches he had. Again with Deion you are risking Auburn future not with hard facts but the way you envision it. He will be able to be a super recruiter although it is the assistants that build the relationship. He is so well respected although I haven't seen him pay any dues that he will build a superior staff. Although alot of you on this board when people suggest good coaches use the excuse that he won't come. But yet these good coaches that won't come will scurry to Deion to be his assistant at Auburn. Come on get real.

I agree that his coaching is not the only problem but it is a big problem. You just mentioned Harsin who also came from a lower conference and it obvious does not translate well to the SEC. Even if he is a jam up recruiter like you guys seem to think he may be able to defeat some of his opponents by out talenting them but he won't be able to out talent teams like Alabama, Georgia, LSU, and now apparently Tenn and Florida now. He is going to have to outcoach them and those high school and FCS game plans are not going to get the job done.

Then tell me why Schmedd who has around 15 years at an FCS school and was a,success at that school is sucking wind at Auburn.

Well I will tell you how much success did we have with other high school coaches such as Gus , lashlee and Dillingham. That ought to make enough sense. I was also telling you lashlee, dilly, Chad Morris and Harsin and hardly any of you listened. I also warned you about gus but I was behind a pay wall on rivals and scout for that. So me telling you his high school mentality should make sense to you.

And when it came down to it he went with the SEC coach instead of the high school coach. Wonder why.

Poor coaching is a part of that also. Our DES are not coached to protect the edge, poor pursuit angles and over pursue. I don't believe our coaches know what a tackling drill is but then again you can't expect much more from this FCS DC.

If we didn't have schmed screwing up we might have a chance. We don't contain the edge, over pursue and just all around out of position. That FCS clown is killing us.

Agree Ruhle would be a a good canadiate as would Bienemy and Leftwhich. At least they are legimate college coaches unlike Deion. Ruhle should change his recruiting strategy a little bit if he comes to the SEC. He should go after the 4&5 stars that Bama & UGa go after and keep our recruiting classes close to Bama and UGA. Then use that strategy he used at Baylor and Temple to ensure our recruiting classes out perform on the field.

LSU is sorry so I wasn't impressed. And Georgia offense hasn't been impressive and the red zone offense has been sorry over the last few games and they are 2 for 2 today.

By the way where did Harsin find that sorry worthless S&C coach. Lower body strength is abysmal.

He is not coming was said about Saben to Bama. They may have interviewed but did not get NFL HC positions so why not kick start their HC at Auburn. The reason Bama is where they are at is they go after their man and the reason Auburn is where they are at is because people say they won't come.

I want Eric Bienemy or Byron Leftwhich but I don't think they would fly with this JABA crowd because all they coach in is the lesser league and don't come from the high school ranks.

Gap scheme. NFL run zone blocking that is why the NFL coaches and execs stated Auburns offensive linemen did not transition well to the NFL.

You are talking about a scheme vs game p Lan. Game plans actually change weekly based on the opponent. The scheme as you are talking about is almost impossible to change during the season. In fact, most coaching changes that happened during the season the new coaches keep the scheme and manages changes through the game plan.

I don't know why the OL will struggle with Gap schemes because a vast # of these linemen were here under Gus and Gus ran a gap blocking scheme. The only exception to this was whe Lindsey came in in 2017 and 2018 and implemented a zone scheme.

That is a total of 12 players and I am assuming they signed 25 which would leave a total of 13 2&3 stars. That could be the reason. But the key is how he go them. #3 on your list explained that on draft night.

Cherry picking. Lane two full recruiting classes at USC were 13 and 10. The brought in significant offensive talent at Alabama. Freezes 3 full classes at Ole Miss was 8, 17 and 17 Kiffens first full class was 17 rather comparable considering how Freeze got talent to come to Ole Miss. People that want Freeze will question kiffen based on inconclusive cherrypicking and then will want Freeze for the job no questions asked.
