  1. Same here. But he can always say his last shot attempt as an Auburn Tiger was a made 3 pointer. (If my memory serves me correct).
  2. Better get used to it. The way Oats is recruiting they're going to be good year end and year out. It's a fun offense to play in and he is attracting elite shooters. He is running his team like the NBA does...a lot of offense and very little defense. Most kids like it.
  3. Agree. When (and maybe before) he retires Auburn will name (in some form or fashion) the basketball facility after him. Maybe the Pearl Palace at Neville Arena? He will get recognized for what he has done for AU basketball. Steven will be the next coach. Auburn will sign a deal with Nike. And we will get a basketball only practice facility. All of this is in the works as the powers that be at AU know what is needed and necessary for us to take the next steps in making AU a true powerhouse in basketball. Auburn has been too good to Bruce and his family for him to head to IU or anywhere else at this stage of his life. And of course Bruce has been great for AU too. Of all the coaches I have witnessed in my 65 years of following college sports Bruce Pearl is the most appreciative I have ever seen. He's got it good at AU and he knows it. I'm not the least bit worried.
  4. Can you elaborate on what AU needs to do (in your opinion) to accomplish this?
  5. Should I lose sleep or just worry?
  6. Great News. Would have hated for this injury to end what has been an absolutely stellar career. He is one of the best athletes (on and off the field) to ever wear an Auburn jersey regardless of the sport.
  7. And I can remember shedding some tears when we lost and Auburn "sure thing".
  8. His strong relationship is with another player, the kid from Clay Chalkville (Mwable or something). They are calling themselves brothers, plan to room together and appear to REALLY care for each other. And from what I see from a distance, Williams really loves bama.
  9. He didn't miss many. The sun must have been in his eyes! He's wearing Spot Bilt shoes I think. Haven't seen them in years.
  10. I watched the game from the bama sidelines. Did not have the same disdain for them back then as I do now. It was a very good day to be an AU fan and was just a sample of things to come.
  11. I think I heard a few years back his son or daughter lives in Moody so I guess he was living with them.
  12. If we could play all our games at Neville we might be eight. Unfortunately we have to play road games too. (Arkansas exception noted).
  13. We're a very undisciplined team. Some of our guys spend more time talking (complaining) to the refs than they do talking to their own teammates. And Bruce is proving to be just a so-so coach. Maybe he's turned too much of the game planning to Steven.
  14. He's not the least bit concerned about the other receivers we've signed. He knows he is extremely talented and will see the field, probably as a starter, day 1. The kid is simply SPECIAL!
  15. Viagra? Depends would be better if he's got a trickle.
  16. Per Wimp Sanderson on the radio today. About 1/2 of the donors to bama's NIL donate because they love their university. The other 1/2 donate because they love Nick Saban. If these folks take a wait and see approach to the new coach their NIL is going to suffer. He further said many of the recruits that are hitting the portal signed with Saban, not the university. That's one of the reasons so many are looking elsewhere.
  17. Somebody did something to somebody as best I can figure. Somebody else figured something had to be done to manage the situation so somebody else told the original somebody they had to go.
  18. No apology needed as it did not offend. AU has NEVER been great at PR.
  19. But Billy Graham was not available.😀 I guess you probably said the same thing when we hired Bruce Pearl.
  20. If one of those is a particular brand of automobile you can rest easy. Not a chance.
  21. This is the same thing Finebaum said, that Freeze is really struggling to adjust to the "NEW" way of doing things in the SEC with NIL, portal comings and goings, high school recruiting, and everything else that goes into being a big time college head coach. Not even close to being the way it was when he was at Ole Miss. Hugh needs to build a cast of folks around him that he can depend on to help him out until he gets organized. So far he apparently doesn't have these folks in place.
