A $50,000 bond on a class A Misdemeanor is a first one for me.  Anyone who thought the Justice system will go easy on our friend Harvey is sadly mistaken.  And the feds haven't even charged him yet.

Currently it's a Class A Misdemeanor. but according to the definition Severity of the charge can be upgraded due to it being a hate crime.

It's a Class C Felony, the $ threshhold is at $2500.  Under is misdemeanor, over is felony.  This is obviously over that number.  So he'll get a minimum of a year in prison unless he pleas out and I'm not sure how he can.

If he only has to serve a year he better move out of state quick. I would not want the temptation present for those who he has hurt
