Baltimore Colts Great John Mackey Has Died

NFL Hall of Famer, John Mackey, who played Tight End for the Baltimore Colts, has died at age 69. Had been suffering from dementia.

As an old Baltimore Colt fan it sadden me to see some of my heros die. John was one of kind tight end for his time. It was very hard to bring down after catching the ball. RIP John

He completely changed what people thought of TEs.  For years everyone considered a tight end a 6th blocker.  He turned it into a blocking and receiving position.
