WarEagleAU 0
Where is the Depth Chart info from? Is this your opinion or is it based on inside info? I've been updated this depth chart thread frequently in AuburnEagle forums for 2 years. Based on info from practices and games. I like the projections you made but I have to disagree on QB...I think Wallace will be the backup. We'll see who will be the backup. I'll update this one when they make their decision. AUbritt 611
Where is the Depth Chart info from? Is this your opinion or is it based on inside info? I had the same question. My bet is the former, since it seems the coaches still have some decisions to make this weekend. It does look pretty solid, though.

JwgreDeux 1,279
a couple of observations: With Therize dinged up, I wouldn't expect him to return kicks or punts for much of the early part of the season, and I also wouldn't expect the KR team to be McCaleb and Mason, as they are the starters at RB. Like last year, I expect McCaleb to be used there in spots but not full time. I would put Cory Grant in the top two there. Also, I haven't heard T Bell's name mentioned much at all this summer, other than himself saying he is fine. In fact when we heard about Therize being dinged up, it was freshman that reportedly got his reps, so I'm not sure where T Bell is on the chart. I hope he is healthy and ready to go. mcgufcm 4,096
Very interesting projection. I have a few suggested changes just based on explanations I've read this off-season. According to Troop and Emory, we no longer have field, boundary, and slot designations. Emory claimed all of the WRs were interchangable, and he was moving all over the field (unlike the last few years). I think you have the chart for the three WR spots about right, but I don't think you'll see Bray and Reed lined up in the slot each time or Blake to the Field. Dropping the designations is probably more accurate. Same thing for the DEs. According to VanGorder, we're not playing strong and weakside Ends. He asks all the DEs to do the same stuff. That's why Ford was considered a fit to play at the same time as Lemonier. Traditionally, both guys are weakside players, but now, they're both just DEs. Same thing for the Safeties (although I think that was true last year as well). I don't think you'll consistently see either Safety as a Strong or Free. One note on a specific position: I seriously doubt T.Bell is in the mix at Nickel. He's just not that kind of body type. It sounds like Davis is going to move inside in the Nickel with Bell taking his spot, but even if Davis remains on the outside, I think you're more likely to see Whitehead back at that spot (with McNeal or Florence taking his spot) or some other player (perhaps one of the freshmen) specifically playing Nickel. I very seriously doubt Bell is getting reps playing Nickel.
WarEagleAU 0
Updated (8/21/12): Positions has been revised: WRs - Split End (X), Flanker (Z), Slot (Y) DEs - Right and Left CBs - Right and Left Safeties will be same at Free and Strong, I was told. WarEagleAU 0
You think Kozan is in front of both Westerman and Slade? Look at the practice notes... Kozan or Young could be ahead of Westerman. Slade will be a starter at either RT or RG. a couple of observations: With Therize dinged up, I wouldn't expect him to return kicks or punts for much of the early part of the season, and I also wouldn't expect the KR team to be McCaleb and Mason, as they are the starters at RB. I thought we were waiting on Williams to be cleared but you have he listed on the depth chart. I'll leave or remove them until after the news on their status tomorrow. Very interesting projection. Thanks buddy. I just took a look at old depth chart from last season (Temple under Loeffler and Atlanta Falcons under BVG) and made some changes. Safeties will be same at free and strong (not 100% sure yet). mofodiscgolf 0
Looks good, I'm sure a few of those positions will move around a bit once it's all said and done but otherwise top knotch! Thanks for taking the time to do this....really shows that we are deep in many places...Auburn is back and will be a force to be reckoned with! IronMan70 3,277
I read somewhere that Mason said he was 200 + now. Yes, he said he was 205 in a video interview about a month ago and I believe Yox confirmed that in another interview.
