gr82b4au 5,568 Posted January 22, 2013 Share Posted January 22, 2013 As E said above, relating the need for Folston to Wilkin's decommit since they are both running backs is like saying we really needed Danzey at OG because we lost TE Jackson to a decommit. Sure they are both on the OL, but that is where the comparison stops...or should anyway. :-\ So how many running backs do you think we are going to take? You think we land GB or DG? I wouldnt be surpised to see some names pop up late as backup options. But bright side is if we miss on these guys that should make us more appealing in 2014 for some of these higher ranked guys when our staff has all season. Notre Dame recruiting coordinator Tony Alford stopped by Cocoa earlier this week and Wilkinson said he and Folston are on the same page. "He's still committed to Notre Dame," Wilkinson said. I haven't seen any comments directly from him that would make me believe AU is out of the picture. D Green is a long shot and seems to already have his mind made up, G Bryant has pretty much directly rejected us, and Barber has shown little to no interest. Folston on the other hand has been very quiet...which leads me to believe he is giving us consideration. I like our shot with this kid more than the others. Maybe he doesnt want to play second fiddle to Bryant. AU is a lot closer to home and the only SEC school pushing hard for him. I think we get him in the end...
