Where did the rumor start that he had flipped to us?

Usually a good sign of things to come when those things are reported then retracted. I expect it will be re-reported soon or he is a silent until NSD.

Recruiting is a game. TN wants Ford. What is the best way to hurt us? Starting a rumor about TF to try and make him stick with ND and then telling Ford that we wanted someone else.

Probably started by a TN person. I am just saying.. this stuff happens.

heard that the Volquest twitter account is fake and not run by anyone associated with the Vols program. So don't follow or listen to Volquest and file it under Troll.

Hard to imagine how GREAT our recruiting classes are going to be in the coming years with this staff.

However, several reports have come out today indicating that Folston told Notre Dame coaches that he would be signing with the Irish next Wednesday. Sigh of relief? Not quite. Folston still has an in home visit scheduled with Auburn coaches.

Instinct and experience says that Folston will be an Auburn Tiger on Wednesday, February 6th. He could be being completely honest with the Notre Dame staff but his actions would suggest other wise. That is not to attack the young man. It is a difficult situation to be in, not wanting to disappoint adults whom you respect greatly. It is just an honest evaluation of the situation. Tarean Folston will be great wherever he goes. It just does not seem like that place is South Bend. But, who knows? This is recruiting and it is one week until Signing Day.

I have to give the ND blog credit for handling the story....very even handed. They did not slam the kid nor try to demean AU by coming out with specious claims of "pending NCAA investigations" like the local media (even some AU oriented blogs) seem to do whenever there is an opportunity to toss the comment into a post.

It would be nice to see more class from our fans when discussing former coaches or HS kids who disappoint us by going elsewhere.

This off IrishEnvy.com this morning, Wiltfong reporting this: 247 update says he told the Auburn staff last night he was going to ND and then reaffirmed that with the ND staff after his Auburn meeting. He's Irish.
