Tiger Refuge 6,682
Oh, I've had Bienville in Jackson and chargrilled(my favorite) at Drago's. This was my first foray into raw...saltine, horseradish, cocktail sauce, Tabasco.

A lot of folks would say this was my first real oyster. It's all good. Had Fairhope brewing IPA. @McLoofus, you were right. Meh. Had another Alabama IPA that was pretty tasty. I thing it was from the 'ham.

I can say that this beer had tons of flavor. *edit*Its has a decent score and good reviews on BA, so... I've actually got it on my list to revisit Red Hook's ESB. One of those entry level craft beers from the 90s.

That horseradish, hot sauce, cocktail sauce with a cracker...yes. That said, Drago's chargrilled wins. Very nice. I have to admit that I've gotten a bit snobby about oysters. I still have love for big, slimy Gulf Coast oysters with all the fixins. If they're on the menu, that is how I'm starting my meal, no questions asked. Almost like chips and salsa at a Mexican place. But cold water oysters tend to have soooooo much more flavor. They also tend to be a lot smaller. It's almost like that big Gulf Coast slab is concentrated into a smaller, meatier, brinier package. I hope we get to Drago's in April. @telling tiger, McWifey is the fried oyster fan in our house. I'll dabble from time to time, but it's never my poboy meat of choice. Shrimp, roast beef (with debris, of course) or hot sausage for me. Jeez. 10:00 AM and I already want all the Abitas.

ShocksMyBrain 9,394
Interesting take. Got some of those traditional marzen flavors, but a nice little hop presence behind the toastiness. @FoundationEagle might enjoy it, as it's loosely similar to Brown Shugga. Definitely not like their hoppy stuff.
