Michael O'Neal done after walking the first batter in the eighth. Seven innings pitched, gave up five hits, three runs with only one earned. Bad throwing error in the seventh making this one closer than it should be.

Williamson ineffective in relief. Turns the ball over to Reid Carter with the bases loaded and two out in the eighth. Induces a weak pop up to CF to get out of the inning with only one run allowed. 7-4 Auburn in the bottom of the eighth.

Auburn looking for the nails to put in the coffin in the eighth. Runners on first and second with one out and we hit into a 7-6-3 double play. You figure that one out, but suffice to say it was a tee ball base running mistake. 8-4 going to the ninth. Dedrick to close.

The good: we won the series and had a good solid comeback last night to win the game.

- We now have 22 wins on the season, and I we cannot come back in this one today, 14 losses; a respectable overall record.

The bad: at the midway point in conference play, we have a 5-10 sec record but this was after starting out 0-6 against maybe the nations top 2 teams.

- we will need to finish 8-7 in sec play just to finish 13-17 in sec okay overall. This will land is an sec tournament spot more than likely, but we may not be very high

The ugly: Georgia has struggled this season and for the second weekend in a row, auburn has been unable to sweep when needed. We also have away series at a ranked miss st, Missouri, and Florida; while our home series we have left are against two very good teams in Arkansas and ole miss we will need to win 4 of these series or sweep 1 and win 3 others by1 game if we want to achieve the finish of 8-7 which will be difficult to do

The upside- there's still time to turn around the season; Texas a and m series was huge to win and a series win this weekend is nothing to shake our heads at. From this series, lets turn it around, win our midweek games, and find a way to win some more sec games. Just had to be the optimistic guy...
