That's just opening the place up for an attack possibly when kids are there that have nothing to do with this crap. Also, yes we are entitled to free speech.......but it is really obvious this group is doing this just to stir the pot and see if they can provoke violence and hiding behind it. According to NPR, the school's policy was that basically any community group could use it for legal meetings. The are currently "reviewing" their policy. Regarding the prior use by the Muslim group, as far as I know, there was nothing really controversial about it until the xenophobes reacted to it. (my terminology, not NPR's ) I haven't researched the original Islamic "convention" other than citing some local news articles covering the reaction to it earlier in the thread. Geller didn't like one of the speakers I believe. Thus she led her protest. Interestingly enough the Islamic community in the Dallas area was very adamant about ignoring her and noone going down there. Which they didn't, except the two extremist cats that came from Phoenix. This was their response: "This is the exposure that they wanted and this is the divisiveness that they wanted to bring," said Omar Suleiman, resident scholar at the Valley Ranch Islamic Center in Irving, a Dallas suburb with a sizable Islamic community. "We condemn obviously the attack in the strongest terms, and we are glad that the police officer is OK," Suleiman added. "This is what extremists on both sides want: whether it's Geller or whether it's ISIS. They want this all-out war. If I was a citizen there I definitely would not have attended the event. At the same time, right or wrong, NOBODY has a right to kill or even attempt to kill people because they were offended by them. However, this is the typical MO of radical jihadees that has been seen many times before. I have a hard time seeing anyway or any circumstances wherein i would virtually dismiss my disapproval of the killers and focus all my disapproval on cartoonists or those organizing the event.
