Despite the final score, I honestly thought we outplayed Colombia considerably. And we did so without two starting defenders. 3-3 for the tournament but IMO the team made great strides forward. The USA has been blessed with some fantastic goalies that have made up for the talent differential over the years. Unfortunately,Howard is likely done soon and there is no goalie of that quality coming in behind just yet. Guzan isn't a bad goalie, but he's not on the level of our recent run of world class goalies. For us to be a top 10 type team, we need a consistent field general and world class goalie. Hopefully they are out there and either someone will help Klinsmann find them (he sure can't find them) or the next coach will find them. We'll never be a top team consistently until we do.
