I should have said "industry". The actual care, for the most part, is anything but. Unfortunately, the doctors typically aren't the bosses of the "industry". Big pharma, insurance companies (health insurance, malpractice insurance...), profit motives in the health systems themselves... I don't have to tell you. PS- Providers absolutely should be compensated very well for the work that you do. That's not what this is about. But you know that, too.
