tarheeltiger 0
"Please be aware that colleges/universities may make corrections to APR data during the month of March. APR reports will be updated in early April to reflect any such changes." This is from the NCAA site. Any clue as to what effect this will have? Streyeder 0
Here's a little perspective: INDIANAPOLIS -- More than 400 sports teams at the nation's Division I schools could lose scholarships next year under the NCAA's new academic standards, according to a report released Monday. Most of the scholarship losses, which would be for one year, were expected in football, baseball and men's basketball. Of the 5,270 Division I teams, about 410 risk penalties. About half of the nation's 328 Division I schools have at least one team that could face sanctions, according to the NCAA's preliminary report. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=2001958
Proud Tiger 4,261
The high and mighty "capstone crew" in last place in something involving academics? Surely this is a gross error and wil receive much rebuttal, yada, yada, yada.

AUesquire 1
Isn't it just a wonderful thing to see the NCAA sanctioning these Universities by taking away the only opportunities some kids will ever have to go to college? Hey, Auburn had four guys transfer out to play at other Division 1 schools. Let's eliminate a scholarship or two so some more people won't go to college and better themselves. Warms your heart, doesn't it? WooHoo, go NCAA, go.

Reduce the scholarship reductions and REWARD instead of PUNISH so much. The NCAA is a bunch of eggheads running the show and not looking at the big picture. Let's create MORE opportunities, not less, for those schools and students that deserve it.

Auburn85 434
Lets just start another organization and break away from the NCAA. Tennessee can stay because how else could they get away with the stuff they do.
