Lane Kiffin has a new weapon.

247Sports has learned that former Auburn wide receiver Kyle Davis is expected to transfer to Florida Atlantic.

Davis, who was dismissed from the Tigers' program back in October, was an Under Armour All-American coming out of Lawrencville (Ga.) Archer High. He picked Auburn over Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and others.

The sophomore played in five games this past season catching seven passes for 210 yards. He was third on the team with 248 receiving yards as a true freshman in 2016.

FAU is already home to some other notable transfers. Elite 11 finalist Chris Robison joined the program after leaving Oklahoma this past August. He's expected to compete for the Owls starting quarterback job this spring. Boca Raton is also home to Top247 wide receiver Jovon Durante following his departure from West Virginia.

He will become the monster he should've been.  Even if not dismissed, he wouldn't have ever come close to his potential here. Hope he does great.

Is that an indictment on him or on our coaches?

Lane is going to have this kid put up 1200 yards in a season before he's done lol he's going to dominate that conference

I agree....if Lane is still there for the 2019 season. If he sustains the success he had this year, some bigger programs may come calling.
