Auburn and South Alabama will begin a multiyear series next season, multiple sources told FanRag Sports.

Official dates and times are yet to be determined.

The first game will occur at Auburn with the second occurring during the 19-20 campaign at South Alabama.

The third installment of the series will be held at some point during the 20-21 season at Auburn.

The Tigers are expected to be one of the favorites next season in the SEC while South Alabama will be entering its first year under Richie Riley, who was the head coach of Nicholls State for the past two seasons.

Jon Rothstein has been a college basketball insider for CBS Sports since 2010 and is the lead college basketball columnist for the FanRag Sports Network. He is also the host of the College Hoops Today Podcast via Compass Media Networks, which is available via iTunes. Rothstein is also a regular in-studio correspondent for both WFAN and CBS Sports Radio. He currently lives in Manhattan.
