Talk about a wake up call. Geez

Depending on the coaches' assessment of attitude/effort, might be some wholesale changes for the easy Alabama State midweek series.

27 innings scoring only 5 runs w 33 Ks. That s a serious lack of attention to details.

Our plate approaches look eerily similar to last year. We give good pitchers too many low pitch count innings. Hope Butch can turn that around after this weekend.

7-1, now 8-1...these freshmen are probably going to be good, but another year goes by and Auburn has missed on the "freshman-Superstar" pitching recruit a la Kumar Rocker at Vandy and the studs MSU gets every year.

Gonna have to get 'em coached up!  Hope AU can at least string together some hits at some point in the last 5 ABs.

Auburn misses because of having no lottery money.  And Kumar Rocker's mama wanted him to have an ivy-leaguish degree. No much can be done about those things. Butch is building the Auburn program but it's slow going because of facilities and.....no lottery money.

If I'm not mistaken, Kumar started his superstar freshman year 2-4.

Please don't take it personally, but this just isn't totally accurate when talking about college baseball.  It's not about who we didn't get, it's about getting the guys who are here to get us "there".  That's exactly what we got last year.  And as irritating as it is, you don't miss going "there" by losing some (or even a bunch of) games in February or March.

To my initial point, we didn't miss on this one but he we still didn't get him....

Right-hander Alex Speas, the Rangers’ second-round pick in 2016, was shut down on his road back from Tommy John surgery, but not because of a medical setback.  He was too healthy and was throwing too hard.  A reliever, Speas was in his 14th month after surgery when he blew up the radar gun during a bullpen session while rehabbing in Arizona.  He threw six fastballs at 102 mph.  His slider came in at 94 mph.
