I have no insider knowledge, but reading between the lines, I think maybe there was some building friction that was unhealthy for the team atmosphere going forward, and simply bringing in a similarly gifted 3 (as opposed to a more gifted one, which seems to be what we're ultimately aiming for) will do a great deal as far as the overall team chemistry element is concerned. However, truthfully, this is all just speculation, because those who know aren't saying, and at this point, there's so much that could potentially change that what you "know" now might not be valid in 24 hours.
