George Soros Influence

Recommended Posts

I have posted concern before about the influence of George Soros on politics and it has been pooh poohed. This should remove any doubt about that. IMHO he is an evil man who doesn't like America.

God bless him.

Lord knows there are plenty of ultra-rich people backing Republicans - the party of fascism - such as the Koch's (for just one example).

Keep in mind Republicans are the ones who supported and celebrated the 2010 Citizens United decision that allows rich people, like Soros, to spend on and influence elections through their companies and organizations as much as they want because it's apparently their "first amendment right"

Republicans are just reaping what they sowed. Republican/Conservative billionaires and PACS aren't the only ones who get to sway elections with their money.

@Son of A Tiger tell me how I'm wrong?

You're complaining that George Soros influences too many elections with his money, but one of the primary reasons he's able to do that is because of rulings like Citizens United, which is a decision that Republicans and conservatives supported and celebrated.

Republicans could work with Dems stop people like George Soros pouring tons of money into politics if they really wanted......but then they'd have to stop all the Republican elites who fund them also.

Why would he not like America?  He lives in New York.  He helped facilitate the fall of Communism in Eastern Europe.  He has since then funded massive endowments throughout Hungary (where he was born and fled as a child to England to escape Nazi occupation) and other parts of Eastern Europe.

He us a self made billionaire that made his fortune in the UK and US by beginning in merchant banking and working his way up until he founded his investment stock firm in New York.

He supports causes and the right goes ape s*** crazy, yet when someone supports right wing causes, they are just being good philanthropic Americans.   The hypocrisy is beyond thick.

He’s anti-authoritarian. Republicans are increasingly authoritarian. Love them another Hungarian named Orban.
