Where do you draw the line between a “cyst” and a person and why?

In the scenario I was discussing, when it is a medical certainty that there will be a still birth, that is the point that I would argue no child is involved.

Sorry, but I see absolutely zero evidence of a SINGLE STATE that doesn’t allow abortion when carrying the pregnancy to term endangers the mothers life.  If you can provide the law of any state that doesn’t allow for this exception I will happily withdraw my statement.

These are examples of women forced to carry, sometimes to term and others not, a fetus that has no chance of living.

Once it IS a stillbirth I agree, but acting as if mistakes aren’t sometimes made isn’t true.  However, I could see this as a point of compromise.

This is a change from what you said earlier about being forced to carry a pregnancy that puts the mother’s life at risk.

If the pregnancy isn't viable, I don't believe that the mother's life should be at immediate risk in order to terminate the pregnancy.   I just think that forcing her to carry to term is cruel and unnecessary in a society of educated people.

Sorry - it seems like I confused your point about a non-viable fetus with Rex’s  comments about being unable to abort a pregnancy that directly threatened the mothers life.   For a non-viable fetus I can understand your point.  I’d want there to be an independent second opinion, to ensure there isn’t a mistake, but I could w the that being a point of compromise.  But I also think we’re talking about an outlier in the overall abortion argument, kind of like rape and incest.   But I certainly see your point.
