StatTiger 3,188
Since 1970, Auburn has won 70% of it's games during "even" ending years. The win pct drops to 67% during "odd" ending years. This includes eleven 9-win seasons during "even" ending years and seven 9-win seasons during "odd" ending years. Under Tuberville, we have won 80% of our games during "even" ending years and 60% of our games during "odd" ending years. Even the trend of average seasons during "odd" ending years under Tuberville came to an end this past season. 1999: 5-6 2001: 7-5 2003: 8-5 2005: 9-3 Is this a sign, our program has finally arrived and we are capable of reloading rather than rebuilding? Barring any major injuries, 2006 looks to be another 9-10 win season and a serious shot at winning the SEC again.

abrnfanatc 6
Auburn is also undefeated in even years since 2004. Here's to keeping that stat alive in 2006!!! Thanks Stat for helping the rest of us make it through the offseason with many reasons to smile and look forward to 2006. Congratulations again too for getting that gig with Scout. Keep up the great work.
AUChizad 0
Auburn is also undefeated in even years since 2004.Here's to keeping that stat alive in 2006!!! Exactly! So the originally mentioned trend still stands, it's just our program has bumped up a notch. Last year was our down year, simply because we were not undefeated. Good thing next year's an even year! Aubie16 1
1999: 5-6 2001: 7-5 2003: 8-5 2005: 9-3 2000: 9-4 2002: 9-4 2004: 13-0 2006: ???? Just to put the even years of Tuberville's tenure in this thread. So from 99 to 00 we went up 4 wins. From 01 to 02 we went up 2 wins. From 03 to 04 we went up 4 wins. So if we continue the trend of gaining at least 2 wins from the odd numbered season, we are in for a great year. I can't wait.
freebody 0
Under Tuberville, Auburn is undefeated when scoring more points than the opposition. Conversely, they have yet to win when surrendering more points. Interestingly, the other in-state SEC school has claimed victories (of the "moral" variety) from games in which they surrendered more points, and has recorded losses even when scoring more (due to NoxvilleConspiracyAgainstAlabammer forfeit). By the way, they are now oh-for-4 overall, and oh-for-ferever in Tusks-are-losers.

quietfan 233
Isn't this due to a lopsided home/road schedule every other year. For example , in 2006 we have LSU, Arkansas, Georgia & Florida at home. In 2007, they're all on the road. We're not the only SEC school that faces this sort of alternating year travel schedule. In 2005, Bama had LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee and Florida at home. They meet them all on the road in 2006. How did SEC schedules get so lopsided and is there any easy way to even 'em out?
