The truth lies in between what most think, imo.

Shula right now is a solid coach but I don't think he has really done much to warrent being a Top SEC coach. Then again, no one is calling him that here.

I think 2006 shows whether he is a really good coach or a good coach.

Agree. He won 10 games last year. Was it luck? It is hard to say for sure since the wins were so close in so many cases and squeaking by at the last possible second in so many cases. IOW, they were not convincing wins except for Florida.

You can spin it any way you want, but I think most football fans in the USA would agree that even after dominating Florida, the rest of their season was not a convincing domination of teams by any stretch of the imagination.

I just hope they re-release the "Back On Top" single again this year. :poke:

I don't want to know who thinks uat's players aren't talented. I want to know WHO thinks those guys are "players"?

I will say this. Wins are Wins.

Richt has barely beaten MTSU, Marshall, and other patsy teams.

But thankfully when the teams aren't named UF or AU, he tends to almost always win.

Just win, baby. If Shula wins 9-10 games next year by a total of 10 points....hey, it's a win.

I don't think it's luck reaching 10 wins, I mean Tubby has only had 10 or more wins once in what 6-7 years?

You Bammers can brag all you want about Sheila winning 10 games last year, but if you look at Sheilas overall coaching record it is not very impressive.

Sheila was fired as the offensive coordinator at Tampa Bay because their offense was so pathetic.

Sheila is 20-17 overall since he has been in Tuscaloser. That is a 54% winning percentage.

Sheila is 11-13 against other SEC teams

Sheila is 0-3 against Auburn.

Sheila is 0-3 against LSU.

Sheila is 1-2 against UT.

Sheila is 1-2 against Arkansas.

Sheila has also never finished higher than 3rd place in the western division since he has been the head coach in Tuscaloser.

Those statistics prove that Sheila has been a loser his entire coaching career.

And Shula's first 2 seasons were absolutely things of greatness.

Tuberville has also:

1. Won an SEC Title

2. Been atop of the Western Division consistently

3. Been to A BCS bowl game and won

4. Had an undefeated season

5. Beat LSU

6. Been a state champion for the past 4 years

7. Been undefeated in Tuscaloosa

8. Created a program that wins

The future is nothing but positive as well as Auburn may have a NC title shot this year.

Agreed.

Tubs has done a great job @ AU. Nobody is trying to take what he and his team have accomplished away from him. It's just that I think I'm misunderstood many times when I'm forced to sift through the :ua: = :om: comparisons, and comments that say we sucked in 05, don't have a good coach, etc. CTT has done his job at AU. That can't be disputed.
