Saban's conditioning program

I believe the actual rule is that as long as the coaches are not coaching "X's and O's" type of stuff, the assitants can do all the yelling they want when it comes to strength and conditioning matters. I do believe there is something about the head coach not being allowed to participate at all, but I may be wrong. As most of us know, it is pretty much understood from even the high school level that "optional" workouts are pretty much not that at all. As David and SL pointed out, the coaches see who is coming and that does play a role in which squad you will be practicing with when pre-season practice starts.

As far the article, as many have already pointed out, this is just a bs story for the bammers. Slick Nick is doing nothing groundbreaking. However, considering the tenure of their last coach and the way UAT played in the second half for the last few years, it may be something UAT has not seen in awhile.
