Athens -- Georgia running back Caleb King was arrested for driving with a suspended license and going the wrong way down a one-way street late Monday night, according to a university police report.

A UGA police officer pulled King over on his Schwinn moped :roflol: for going the wrong way down Sanford Drive on campus at 10:38 p.m. Monday, according to the report. A background check revealed King's license was suspended and served for "serious violations" on June 15, the report stated.

King, one of the Bulldogs' most heralded recruits in February's signing class, was placed under arrest and booked into Clarke County Jail at 11:39 p.m. He was released 37 minutes later under a $2,000 bond. Ben Harden, another UGA freshman, picked up King's moped, according to the report. :roflol:

Georgia coach Mark Richt does not comment on traffic citations, said an athletics department spokesman, who added that any disciplinary action will be handled internally.

It is not expected that King's transgression will result in any loss of playing time.

King, a former Parkview and Greater Atlanta Christian star, is expected to contend for playing time in the Bulldogs' backfield and also as a possible third-down receiving threat.

He's the second Georgia player to be arrested this week. Tripp Taylor, a sophomore walk-on defensive lineman, was charged with simple misdemeanor assault for the alleged verbal threats he made during a May brawl in Cherokee County.

You can get a DUI on anything that moves ie bicycle, skateboard, horse, etc. I think it is kind of stupid though to get one on a moped. You probably can get this dropped down to a public intox or something. How many people can you seriously hurt on a moped, even if you hit a Prius head on, my bets is that the Prius would win.
