For those of you who posted that Obama would not recover from Pastor-gate and that he was hammered in the polls and that he would not come back...well, you were wrong. The latest Gallup poll has Obama back ahead of Clinton, nearly a 10 point swing from his drop last week.

PRINCETON, NJ -- The Democratic nomination battle -- having undergone significant shifts last week during the Rev. Jeremiah Wright controversy -- is now back to a virtual tie between Barack Obama (favored by 47% of national Democratic voters), and Hillary Clinton (chosen by 46%).

Gallup's general election ballots, pitting presumptive Republican nominee John McCain against Obama and Clinton, continue to show McCain with a slight edge. According to the latest five-day rolling average, from March 18-22, McCain holds a three percentage point lead over Obama in the preferences of national registered voters, and a 2-point lead over Clinton. -- Lydia Saad

Funny how you left that part out.

Wonderful.

The post wasn't about the general election (still 6 months away) but rather the current democratic primary contest. Specifically, it was in response to all of those on this board last week sounding the trumpet that "obama was done and is now getting killed in the polls b/c of pastor gate."

Looking at general election polls are a bit apples and oranges now especially considering the Dems don't even have a nominee yet.

My posts were about the general election.

Unless McCain starts drooling and talking 100+ years in Iraq, Obama won't have a chance against him. I previously thought no Democrat could lose this election.
