arnaldoabru 11 Posted July 2, 2008 Share Posted July 2, 2008 I'm all confused: wasn't North Korea a. a charter member of the "axis of evil" b. lead by an evil dictator who starves his own people c. does not have our "decmocracy" d. has nuclear weapon capibility( WMD'S) e. maybe exporting it to other countries f. is still at War with the United States So we are removing sanctions,etc, because us and some other countries are "talking" to them. John McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee,said that during the verification period "we must keep diplomatic and economic pressure" on North Korea to meet all of its obligations, include full denuclearization. But not John. "It's shameful," John Bolton, Bush's former U.S. ambassador at the United Nations, said of the president?s decision. "This represents the final collapse of Bush's foreign policy." When training a bad dog, you must reward for the good. This is N. Korea'a bone. I think the bone should have been a small biscuit, but progress has been made. and to appease, we would have pulled our troops from the border and ran back home into achmed's loving arms. There were ALWAYS conditions set forth BEFORE we talked. Achemd wants to run to his muslim brothers without ANY conditions. We've already hashed this out. The way N. Korea was dealt with was the right way. They had to deal with 5 other nations, including us. And until they did, we did not talk with them. It's called preconditions. Help achmed learn the term.
