They tried to pooch it from the 33 ended up having a net 1 yard punt. Then dude for UK drops 2 consecutive punts on the 2 yard line. Outside of Arenas' return to open the game, UK has outclassed Bama on special teams and really shown how special teams can be an equalizer when you are facing a more talented team. I think if Bama drops one this year, it'll be because special teams miscues (that they've shown a propensity for thus far) end up biting them in the rear. 21-6 but the first half was closer than the score. I'm not even attempting to be a homer but if our offense holds up all season, AU might be the only team on your damn schedule that can make you pay for coming out of the gates weak and at this point in time, we don't have a D! When you are 5 games into the season, and the worst defensive performance of the year resulted in 300 yards and 20 points...I'll take it. ESPECIALLY when we gave up one TD drive. And that TD drive was after it was a blowout and we kept everything underneath...and they were going for it on 4th down (a situation that wouldn't have resulted in a TD if the game was in doubt). Yeah, I'll take it. The other TD came from an obvious push off on a 50 yd TD pass. It was very well covered. Kudos to Cobb for having a VERY effective, well timed, and discrete push off. We ran the ball up the middle for literally the last 17 mins of the game. We fake the FG because 3 points does nothing for you. Get the first down and keep running the clock out. But after we get the first down and run it up the middle, UK kept calling timeouts (trying to lengthen the game). We still just ran it up the middle three straight plays. I have no problem with the pass at the end. Don't lengthen the game and we don't throw the ball. Do you HONESTLY think our running up the score strategy included running it up the middle for like 25 consecutive offensive plays? Especially when McElroy wasn't stopped in the 2nd half? He had almost a 20 pt lead with under 1:30 left in the game and was throwing deep in the end zone!!! WTF Even the announcer said he was trying to run it up!!!God BG Would you please just stop making excuses. God you sound like an abused wife defending her no good husband, We all watched the game BG.
