Diamond has a nice frame with long arms and a solid base in his legs. He's a naturally strong kid who drives defenders down field and does a nice job finishing his blocks. He has experience in pass protection and does a nice job of using his arm length and locking out on pass rushers. Would like to see him keep working on getting quicker and more nimble. Likely a right tackle or possibly even a guard in college.

Diamond displays a great deal of playing strength as a dominant run blocker. Has the ability to overpower defenders both on and off the line of scrimmage. Possesses the size and athleticism for the offensive tackle position at the major level of competition...

Does it still look like OSU? They only picked up two OTs so I would guess so.

No; I believe they only have one spot left (for Diggs). Diamond looks like Michigan right now.

I was "told" that Grimes has been pushing hard. I hope it's us, but I also think Michigan is slightly ahead of us. We'll see in a few hours.

However, there's some AU sites, etc. that think we have a very good chance to get him.

Michigan has already signed 25 this year:

Michigan only signed 19 in 2011:

Big Ten follows different rules than the SEC and NCAA. I am not familiar with them.

Can they now sign Diamond and back count him?

Jordan Diamond, one of the top offensive line recruits in the country, is set to announce his college decision on Friday night. The announcement will take place during a ceremony scheduled to start at 7 p.m. CST. These events often take much longer than one might expect, and having to wait until 7:30 or 8 CST to hear Diamond's decision would not be surprising in the least.

...

Some rumors have Diamond as a lock to attend Auburn, while others state that he will choose either Wisconsin or Arkansas. And as of Thursday night, Diamond had not officially eliminated Michigan, either. This has been an intense recruitment and the winner will get an excellent prospect.

It would definitely be a great pull. This is already a great OL class following up a great class last year. We're going to be young up front no matter how it shakes out this year, but there is a ton of talent in the Freshman and Sophomore classes. Add Diamond and/or Kozan, and it's an even better situation.

Sophomore - Slade (OT), Dismukes (C ), Mack (OG), Fariyike (C )

RS Freshmen - Robinson (OT), Westerman (OG), O'Reilly (OG)

Tr Freshmen - Miller (OT), Callahan (OT), Young (OT), Leff (OT/OG)

Diamond projects as an OT. Kozan is a OG all the way. That's a pretty solid stable of OL prospects. The bad news is, we only have two upperclassmen on the roster: Sullen and Burgess. So it doesn't matter who wins positions or spots on the depth chart. It's going to be all young guys up front.

You forgot Shon Coleman

I love Shon and hope I get to include him one day, but at this point, he's not a factor on the roster. He won't go through spring ball, and we have no idea if he will go through fall two-a-days. I didn't list all the walk-ons either.
